More than 3,000 drones, three fully choreographed shows, and one unforgettable night over Thessaloniki. On September 12, Thessaloniki became the stage for one of the most ambitious drone light show productions ever delivered in Europe, as Antonis Remos celebrated 30 years of an extraordinary music career with a landmark live event.

For this milestone celebration, DRNS | Drone Light Shows designed and delivered three distinct Drone Light Shows, featuring more than 3,000 drones in total throughout the night.

But this was far more than a display of scale.

Each of the three shows was created as an integral part of the live production, fully synchronized with the music and developed around the artistic direction and staging of the event. Every formation, transition and aerial sequence was carefully choreographed to follow the rhythm, emotion and key moments of the performance, transforming the sky into an extension of the stage.

The result was a production in which technology, music, storytelling and live direction worked as one.

The scale itself was exceptional. Delivering more than 3,000 drones across three different choreographed shows within a single event represents a level of production rarely seen anywhere in the world outside China and marked a major milestone for drone entertainment in Europe.

Each show featured its own creative identity, with custom formations and animations designed specifically for Antonis Remos’ 30-year anniversary.Among the moments that generated the strongest reactions from the audience was the appearance of Antonis Remos’ portrait in the sky, alongside one of the biggest surprises of the evening: a spectacular aerial portrait of Ronaldinho.

The global football legend was also present at the event as a special guest of Antonis Remos, making the moment even more memorable for the audience below.

Beyond these signature formations, the three shows featured a series of large-scale visuals and transitions created to celebrate the artist, his journey and the significance of the night.

The audience response was immediate. Videos from the shows began circulating across social media during and shortly after the event, with footage of thousands of synchronized drones above Thessaloniki quickly attracting attention and being widely shared online.

For DRNS, this was much more than another large-scale drone production.

Coordinating three fully choreographed and music-synchronized shows, while managing more than 3,000 drones across one live event, required extensive creative, technical and operational planning. It became one of the most complex productions our team has delivered to date.

We are incredibly proud to have been part of such an important celebration and to have brought 30 years of Antonis Remos’ career into the sky through a production that combined scale, technology, music and storytelling in a way rarely seen in Europe.

More highlights from this landmark night are coming soon.
