Antonis Remos’ 30-Year Anniversary: A Stage Extended Into the Sky

On Saturday, September 12, Thessaloniki became the stage for a landmark live entertainment experience celebrating 30 years of Antonis Remos’ career. For this special anniversary, DRNS created a large-scale Drone Light Show featuring more than 1,000 drones, custom-designed formations and one of the most technically ambitious integrations we have delivered to date.

The show was designed not simply as a visual moment above the audience, but as a fully integrated part of the live performance.

Introducing the Skywall

At the heart of the experience was the introduction of the Skywall concept.

Instead of treating the drone show as a separate element, the sky became a natural extension of the physical stage.More than 1,000 drones were synchronized with the stage LEDs, lighting, music and live production, allowing the visuals in the sky to move, transform and illuminate in direct connection with what was happening on stage. The result was one unified visual environment — from the LED screens on stage to the formations hundreds of meters above the audience. A stage with no visible limits.

Antonis Remos, Recreated in the Sky

Every formation was created specifically for the anniversary and inspired by Antonis Remos’ 30-year journey in music. One of the most striking moments of the night was the recreation of Antonis Remos’ portrait in the sky, formed entirely by drones above Thessaloniki.

The combination of scale, precision and recognizable imagery transformed the sky into a storytelling medium, creating moments designed not only to be experienced live, but also to remain memorable long after the event.

When Technology Becomes Part of the Performance

Drone Light Shows are often presented as standalone spectacles. For this production, the objective was different. The drones had to become part of the stage direction itself. Timing, music, lighting cues, LED content and aerial choreography were developed as interconnected elements, creating a seamless transition between the physical stage and the sky. This level of synchronization changes the role of drone technology in live entertainment. It is no longer only an impressive visual addition. It becomes part of the creative direction, the scenography and the storytelling of the event.

A New Chapter for Live Entertainment

The Antonis Remos 30-year anniversary in Thessaloniki demonstrated how drone technology can expand the possibilities of stage production. More than 1,000 drones.A fully synchronized live performance.A stage extended into the sky.For DRNS, the Skywall represents the next step in how we approach large-scale shows: bringing together technology, music, light and storytelling to create experiences that audiences have never seen before. Created in Greece.Designed for the sky.Built for the future of live entertainment.
