A Spectacular Christmas Drone Show Above Voula: A Night of Magic for the Municipality of the 3B

On Saturday, December 6th, we delivered a breathtaking Christmas drone show above the central square of Voula, celebrating the official Christmas tree lighting of the Municipality of the 3B (Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni). It was a night where imagination met technology, transforming the sky into a live canvas of light, motion, and festive storytelling.

A Theatrical Introduction to Something Amazing

As part of the ceremony, Mayor Grigoris Konstandellos brought a creative touch to the event with a short theatrical performance on stage, hinting that “something special” was about to appear in the night sky. And within moments, hundreds of synchronized drones rose into the air, revealing a spectacular Christmas show unlike anything the city had ever experienced.

A New Concept in Drone Storytelling

What made this show truly unique was a groundbreaking transition concept: for the first time, a drone animation changed scenes and compositions without changing the core design, creating a seamless visual journey across multiple locations and themes.

One of the highlights was a dynamic animation showing the location pin, revealing where the crowd stood in Voula, while connecting the skyline of the 3B municipality in the southern suburbs of Athens. The show also proudly showcased the words “Athenian Riviera”, celebrating our love for this iconic coastline.

The Sky Full of Christmas Spirit

Throughout the night, the drones formed beautiful Christmas symbols in the sky, including Santa Claus, a cheerful snowman, festive Christmas wishes, delicate snowflakes, a location pin pointing to the heart of Voula, messages of joy and celebration,

An Unforgettable Experience for Everyone

The reaction from the audience was astonishing. Children and adults stood speechless, smiling as they watched the animations dance in perfect rhythm with the soundtrack. People took photos and videos non-stop, capturing every moment with their phones, while the Mayor live–commented during the show, sharing thoughts, emotions, and greetings in real time.

The combination of music, narration, and live visuals created a powerful atmosphere—turning the square into a magical Christmas stage under the stars.
